Summary:
Completion of the new National Stadium currently under construction in the Romanian capital is scheduled for the end of 2010. The architectural design exemplifies today’s modern sports arenas. The stadium will offer seating for 55,000 sports enthusiasts and 4,000 spectators in VIP boxes. Featuring six levels and a total area of 108,000 m2, the building will also accommodate an underground garage, conference rooms and restaurants. The light-permeable roof structure can be fully retracted allowing sports competitions in any weather. The National Stadium is going to be a multifunctional venue hosting the European Cup Finals in 2012.
