Summary: As a follow up to this year’s bauma 2010, the world’s largest construction machinery trade fair, technical reports are being published throughout the year to give an overview of the technical development and exhibits on show, relating to key topics of the BauPortal. Due to the volume of information and the number of exhibits there is no claim to completeness.
As in the year 2007 (TIEFBAU 9/2007, S. 562 ff), we take a look at innovations in the field of compaction and the testing of compaction in earthworks and assess these from the viewpoint of the user and with regard to the technical and scientific development. The article gives a detailed overview of innovations and developments that have taken place since the bauma 2007. Equipment and components produced by manufacturers as “simplified” versions for the overseas market are not included in this report.
