Summary: In the past, all that was needed for demolition work was an excavator and a truck. Today this work is a little more complicated as a variety of requirements concerning safety, structural analysis, legal issues and organisation have to be fulfilled.  There are also other issues that have to be taken into account, such as the interest of people from the surrounding area in the demolition measures.
