Summary: This article presents an in-depth examination of wheel loaders – just one type from the large group of different loaders. The wide and universal development of the large family of loaders was greatly assisted by the introduction of hydraulics for the driving and operation of the attachments. The variety of possible applications has prompted manufacturers to offer many different designs of this type of construction machinery, and at the same time make a significant contribution towards universal mechanisation of many construction processes.
