STANDARDISATION OF DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS FOR MOBILE CONSTRUCTION MACHINERY

Primary publication: TIEFBAU September 2006

Summary: The maintenance of mobile construction machinery is increasingly carried out with the support of diagnostic systems, the error logs of which can, however, only be accessed by workshop staff of the machine operator when the required reader and analyser devices are provided. In the event of extensive construction machinery, differing interfaces complicate access to the stored data. Technical developments and strategic cooperation in the automotive industry can help manufactures of mobile construction machinery accomplish at least partial standardisation of their diagnostic systems.
